System Maintenance

This application just executes an SQL query.

On a Linux server you schedule (via cron) this app to run a script.

sysmaint [options]

-c, --conf   alternate configuration file
-f SQL script file to execute

This is used to run scripts on a schedule. Very handy to run daily clean up and summary tasks.

The script file is just a text file containing one or more SQL commands that are executed in sequence.

The default configuration file is “/etc/min-sysmaint.conf” and contains the database server details.

Example SQL file

execute procedure ClearTempTables;
