This application just executes an SQL query.
On a Linux server you schedule (via cron) this app to run a script.
-c, --conf alternate configuration file -f SQL script file to execute
This is used to run scripts on a schedule. Very handy to run daily clean up and summary tasks.
The script file is just a text file containing one or more SQL commands that are executed in sequence.
The default configuration file is “/etc/min-sysmaint.conf” and contains the database server details.
